Our Portfolios
Portfolios Built Around You
Five portfolios, from conservative to growth, built with low-cost ETFs and matched to your goals and your comfort with risk.
Our Approach
Every portfolio follows the same simple ideas. What changes from one to the next is how much is in stocks and how much is in bonds.
Low-Cost ETFs
We build portfolios with exchange-traded funds, which keeps the cost of the investments themselves low.
Broadly Diversified
Each portfolio spreads your money across many companies, industries, and types of bonds.
Cash on Hand
We keep a small amount of cash in every portfolio, so we don't have to sell at a bad time to send you money.
Reviewed and Adjusted
We review the portfolios regularly with an advisory group at Cetera, and adjust as markets and interest rates change.
Our Five Portfolios
Each step up adds more stocks for more growth potential, along with bigger ups and downs. Each step down adds more bonds for more stability.

Target allocations shown. Actual accounts may vary, and allocations may change at any time. Portfolios with more stocks have more risk and can lose more value in a down market. Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Diversification does not guarantee a profit or protect against loss. Finding Your Fit
The right portfolio depends on more than how much risk you think you can handle. It depends on when you'll need the money, what else you have, and how you'd really feel in a down market. Here's how we match you to a portfolio.
Answer a Risk Questionnaire
A short set of questions about your goals, your time frame, and how you'd feel if your account dropped in value.
Start With Your Base Portfolio
Your answers point to the portfolio that fits you best. We go over it together before anything is set up.
Adjust Within Limits
If your situation calls for it, we can move one step more conservative or one step more growth-focused. Anything beyond that takes a new questionnaire.
Why the limits matter: your portfolio can be adjusted as markets and your life change, but it can never drift into more risk than you signed up for.
Portfolio Questions
Straight answers about how our portfolios work.
How do you decide which portfolio is right for me?
It starts with a risk questionnaire and a conversation about your goals, when you'll need the money, and your other income. Your answers point to a base portfolio, and we review it together before anything is set up.
Can I switch portfolios later?
Yes. Life changes, and your portfolio can change with it. We can move one step in either direction if your situation calls for it. A bigger change starts with a new risk questionnaire, so the portfolio still fits you.
What happens when the markets drop?
Drops are a normal part of investing, and every portfolio is built expecting them. The more stocks a portfolio holds, the bigger the swings can be. Keeping some cash on hand helps us avoid selling investments at a low point just to send you money, and we'll talk with you before and during rough markets.
Who makes changes to my portfolio?
We manage client portfolios on a discretionary basis. That means when a change is needed, we can make it in your account without you placing a trade, as long as the portfolio stays within the risk level we agreed on.
Why do you use ETFs?
Exchange-traded funds are a low-cost way to own a wide mix of stocks or bonds in a single investment. Lower costs mean more of any return stays with you.
Why keep cash in every portfolio?
A small amount of cash covers withdrawals and fees. That way, we're not forced to sell investments at a bad time when you need money.
Can I see what I own?
Yes. Your accounts are held by an independent custodian, Pershing. You'll see every holding on your statements and can check your accounts online at any time.
What does it cost?
Before you move any money, we give you your total yearly cost in writing, including the cost of the funds and our fee, so you know exactly what you're paying.
